What the HECK!!!

One of the best things about living in New England is that you (usually) don't have to worry about severe summer weather such a major thunderstorms and tornado's. Well, the last couple of days have been like Texas in the spring. There have been tornado warning and hail and torrential rains. The meteorologist don't know what to do with themselves. You can tell that they are concerned but you have to know that they are falling all over themselves they are so excited to have some real weather to forecast (yes I know we have major winter storms here, but this weather is way different: constantly changing, popping up out of no where). They keep using all these big weathery-words and using all of the gizmos on the radar that they thought they would probably never get to use. The big discussion right now is straight line wind vs. tornado and what has caused the damage today.

There are already 5 towns in New Hampshire declared disaster areas because of storms that hit around 11 this morning (it is 2 pm right now) and there is still another line of storms coming our way. We have escaped anything but rain so far. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I bet a KS girl like you is chucking at their dire comments about wind.

Unless they have a town siren to warn you to get into your shelter, I don't think it's quite the same thing, hunh?
