In addition, I have tried to catch every trip by Andrew Zimmerman and Anthony Bourdain to various areas of China (and any other Asian countries), one can never be too prepared for culinary adventures. I have also watched several programs on the history of the Great Wall, one program about building the Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium, and a couple episodes of Ni Hao, Kia-lan. I guess I should also throw the 5 or so times that I have watch Mulan and Mulan 2 with Alex on the list (plus we researched Mulan on the internet and tried to figure out if Chang was a real person or not; Mulan was pretty cool and no he wasn't real)
I plan to make up for my lack of knowledge with loads of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn by osmosis (as a science teacher, I know that osmosis is only the movement of water, but you get the idea). I plan to try new things (and hopefully not get sick because of them). I am planning to eat close to my weight in red bean paste products (heard they have bean paste pie at McDonald's, lets go!!!!!!) (Alex has made David promise to take pictures of me eating bean paste and then getting sick afterwards). And I am planning to lay more love on a little girl in Yifeng SWI than she has ever experience in her almost 8 months on this earth.
WATCH OUT CHINA HERE WE COME!!!!
