I'm still alive

I didn't realize that it has been a month since my last post until Sparky emailed me. I have been so busy I barely have time to check in on other people's blogs let alone post on mine. I am teaching a new class this year, taking a graduate class, and being den leader for Alex's cub scout den so I have been getting a little overwhelmed at times with all that I need to do. We have a three day weekend because of Veterans Day and I am hoping to try to get caught up on my lesson plans and cub scout stuff.

I only have a few more weeks before this grad class is over and then I get to start a new one which I will hopefully have some background in and not struggle with so much. I am very proud to say that I got one of the two highest grades in the class on my last easy and am probably pulling a B in the class right now (haven't had time to sit down and calculate my current grade).
One good thing is I haven't had a lot of time to sit and think about the adoption. Instead, I just cram in short periods of depression whenever I have down time (LOL). I thought it would make me feel better when they started to get into December, but now I find myself getting more aggrevated because we still have no idea when we may get our referral. I didn't even look at announcements this month. Next month there will be people from my agency who I know that will be getting their referrals. We had hoped to possibly be traveling together and now they will probably be home before we even get our referral. We had our second home study update last weekend and received the update yesterday so we need to read it to make sure that everything is correct and return it so that we can get it finished. We calculated that we should be okay on our fingerprints. The don't expire until June. If we are still waiting at the point, I can't even describe what kind of horrible thing may happen

I am so sorry that the wait has been so long. Even though I have a tough time reading blogs these days (too exhausted by the time we finally get Bella to bed), I think of you often.
