Alex has decided that he is going to go live in the woods when he grows up and live off of nature. He is sitting in the tub right now telling me how he won't have to go to college and will be leaving when he is a teenager to go live in the woods. I guess he is doing this with a couple of friends. The only things they will need money for is to buy guns so they can hunt. They are going to cut down trees to build a house and dig a hole for a toilet and bath in the "brook" near where they live. Too bad they don't realize you have to buy the land and milling the wood would probably take a long time. They wouldn't make it too far into the first New England winter before they would be home in their warm beds.
How great it must be to be 7 and have a dream!!!

Have him read "Into the Wild," by Jon Krakauer and then see what he thinks. On second thought, don't.
