While I was visiting, my mom told me of a couple that she knows who have just finished their dossier (may even be logged in but am not sure). Their agency told them that they would have their baby within 18 months. This irritates me to no end!!!!!! I don't know who the agency is, but they are obviously BIG, FAT LIARS!!!!!!! What the heck?!?!?!?!?!? I told my mom to tell them that there is NO WAY that is going to happen. It is terrible that agencies are not being honest with people.
I also think that it is ridiculous that people are not more aware of what is going on. How can you be dealing with something this important and not do at least a little bit of research that doesn't involve your agency? If you have the option of being able to get information easily and having your head buried in the sand, why not be informed? I just don't understand how you can not want to know what is going on (or at least think that you do, LOL).

Yes,I know, it's very bizarre. Sometimes I wonder if people have mastered basic math!
I dont think some people really understand the timeframes that are put out there. My friend was researching China adoption and told me the time frames were MUCH shorter than they really are..and when i questioned her on it she apparently had misunderstood what her agency was telling her. She honestly thought that she would get her baby in less than 12 months!
