I have decided that I am abandoning the ladyug as the official good luck symbol of our adoption and "adopting" the elephant. They are smart and (some would say) cute. They are good luck if they have their trunk up. They also have a gestation period of 22 months which is about how long our adoption will take from start to finish if the current rumors are correct. Did you know that the Chinese phrase "to ride an elephant" sounds the same as happiness?

What a great idea-however elephants don't land on your windshield in the spring to give you an "sign" He..he..he...
But if one does land on your windshield anytime soon I would hope you would let all of us know because that would be a seriously meaningful "sign" (SMILE)

I've been using the "if I had the gestational period of an elephant" line for the last 6 months!
Great minds my friend...
I like this idea! Elephants are my favorite animal But an "elephant sighting" is probably going to be a pretty rare thing!
