Beautiful Weekend

We had another beautiful weekend here. It was in the high 50s, low 60s all weekend. Alex and I spent part of the day outside on Saturday helping some friends throw leaves around their yard. He always wants to jump in the leaves and never gets to because we (meaning David) mow our leaves up to save time.

With all of the great weather we have had the last few weeks, I am wondering what will happen this winter. This is only my second New England winter so I don't know exactly what to expect. We lived in NY for two years before we moved here and we had two of the worst winters ever there. Both years we were there, it snowed the week of Thanksgiving.

Alex looked out of the window as soon as he woke up this morning. He had a dream that it had snowed and was checking to see if it was only a dream. He told me that it has been such a long time and he misses it. Just think, if we still lived in Texas he would never know what he was missing. That is one of the reasons that I wanted to move north when we had the chance. I don't think that the ice storms that would close down the Dallas-Fort Worth area when we lived there would make him as happy.
